It’s Been Said. I’m Saying It Again

I've been riddled with emotions since February 9th. The day we started rehearsal for The Wiz at the Fulton Theater. Being part of this all Black Cast is..... . It's a....... . A space where "WHATS UNDERSTOOD DOESN'T NEED TO BE DISCUSSED" was multiple persons. A place where I could ask Where was Usher Raymond at 7 o'clock and everyone would know exactly where he was. A place where I could break into harmonies upon harmonies. A place where it feels like family. A place where everyone is just grown because we don't know how old anyone is because Black Don't Crack lol. A PLACE LIKE HOME. A place like home. The feeling is priceless. It's unforgettable. And I get to Ease On Down The Road for a third time in my life in just a few weeks. I'll be playing Uncle Henry and Lord High Underling in The Wiz at New Bedford Featival Theater. Located at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center. I'm one of the lucky few who got to do this show not once but twice as it will go on a National Tour before The Wiz hits Broadway. So it will be a few years before theaters will be able to attain the rights to produce this masterpiece again! Forever grateful for what The Wiz has brought me since I was a young boy! JOY!
